Commissioning an artwork

Updated: Oct 2, 2019

Often I will have clients contact me because they like the look of one of my works but the size doesn't quite work for them. Another reason is to create a piece for a specific space.

I can create any sized piece on paper or canvas, framed or unframed. Stretched or unstretched. See below to find out how the process works.

Starting the process

The first step in getting your custom made piece is for us to have a conversation about what you are looking for. This can be done via email, phone or face-to-face if possible. In this conversation we will talk about colour, size and the type of artwork that you are drawn to. This will give me a reference to work with and help me to understand what you are looking for. After these details have been fleshed out I will provide you with a quote, if you decide to go ahead a 30% non-refundable deposit is paid to pay for materials and get the ball rolling.

What happens next...

After purchasing your materials I will wait for right moment to create your piece. Generally, I will take between 3-4 weeks to complete a commission. When I feel like the piece is coming together I will send you a pic to make sure you are happy with it. For smaller commissions I often make two that you can choose from. Once the artwork is complete the balance of the fee is paid and the artwork will be shipped to you.

Framing can be arranged at an additional cost, and unstretched works can be made for international buyers.

Feel free to Contact me if you have any questions or would like to commission an artwork
